Ready for Day 3
Ready for Day 3
Finally got some sleep last night. Probably about 6 hours. Still tired but glad to have got some rest.
I feel a little better today but still feeling some withdrawal symptoms. I'm itchy and feel kind of sore like I have a cold or something. I was absolutely miserable the last couple days but I feel like my body is moving in the right direction. My mind has been very foggy but it's getting better by the day. Just to be absolutely freakin clear, WITHDRAWALS SUCK! Though I'm sure you all know that...
I'm just glad to say that I have woken up not hungover (albeit withdrawing) for two days in a row and I am looking forward many more to come. Just taking it one day at a time. Looking forward to another meeting today. 2 down 88 to go. I've got approximately 54 hours sober.
Have a good day everyone! Thanks to you SR for providing the support I need 24 hours a day right on my phone. Feels good knowing that I can vent and speak when u need about this dreaded disease.

Congrats on day3 Joe...glad to hear things are starting to improve. Yep, WD's suck but every day you get closer to them ending...and you never, ever have to go through them again if you don't want to!
Good work on getting through it Joe and keep going on day 3. I had all sorts of itchy annoying things go on while I was withdrawing. It gets better. It's great you got sleep. Rest is so important.
Sounds like you are doing 90 in 90. I did and it was really great for establishing new patterns. Good for you!

Good job! I am on Day 3 as well. Exhausted though, my sleep has sucked, maybe 3-4 hrs a night. I am looking forward to a long weekend so I can rest!
I am finally able to eat normal food. Albeit not healthy but this is huge for me since normally I wouldn't eat and just drink my meals. One thing is for sure, I am bloated. I know its my body saying "give me water" but man I feel gross.

Keep up the good work!! I am day 4 and it is a definite improvement from day 3 so you really have something to look forward to. The worst withdrawal symptoms are becoming a bit more tame. You're almost there, keep your head up! Best of luck.
Still sober heading to a meeting now. Throbbing head ache though. I'm glad I found SR. It's my go to for support now. Everyone is so cool and responsive and, better yet, non judge mental but honest!
I'll update tonight after meeting but I have made a commitment to living a "new" life by changing my life commitments.
