Id forgotten what stressed and tired feels like!
Hi all, 5 months 21 days sober...getting there!
Made the observation today that since Id drunk beer heavily every night for the last 6 years Id forgotten what it felt like to:
×be tired
×be stressed
It's interesting but I found myself stressing about "whats this feeling"? When I was tired.
I completely forgotten that being tired is natural and not just from a hangover!
Starting to get to know my body again!!
Anyone relate to this?

mrjustin,
I found a lot of stress dropped away after the 1st year was over, probably something psychological .
Keep on using the tools that have got you this far , being self aware and dealing with stuff in a healthy way . Keep on learning and dealing with it all ,
keep on, keep on

Hello mrjustin,
I've come to realize that I enjoy naturally
becoming tired at the end of each day and
truly look forward to sleep. Refreshing sleep.
What a difference genuine sleep makes, as compared
to passing out, from being intoxicated, not to mention
"the morning after".

Nah just every now and then, tiredness seems to contribute to stress. Just life stress mate but im slowly getting better at chilling sober. Alcohols yuck, I can go days and not even think of it, rather drink petrol. In the end it wasnt managing my stress anyway....
