I've made it to day 3. Paranoia is improving.

Dear all
I've made it to day 3. So far so good. Just a bit achy and shivery (bit like when you're getting a cold) and still a bit brain foggy. Not too bad, but not totally alert. Luckily I'm not in work until Saturday so by then I'll hopefully be more awake.

The night terrors have been replaced with uninterrupted sleep and calm. It's so different. Before, when I was drinking, I'd go to bed and nod off and it would seem like 1 minute later the alarm was going off I would think 'nooooo!' But it seems to be much better now.

Friday and Saturday might be tricky as traditionally they would involve going out and drinking, but as I said I'm working this Sat and that's a very good thing. I'll be driving as part of that and I have to leave early, so that's a good thing. By Friday I hope the fog will have largely passed.
Thank you all for your continuing support

hi babybingo ,

Day 3

Remember to post if things get rough and stressy ,

The "class of" thread is useful to see how others are doing .

The weekends can be a bit rough to start with as we get get used to them sober but it fades with time …

Re-discovering sat and sunday mornings has been a wonderful gift of recovery .

I find getting up early at the weekend one of my favourite things now whereas in the past it used to be sleeping in till 12 or later ..

Take care , m

Congratulations Babybingo on day 3! I can relate to you entirely with the night terrors. You're not alone. I'm on day 5, and it gradually gets better each day - keep going!

Great job on the first three days Bingo--
I found myself feeling better and better in terms of paranoia / anxiety as the days passed,
with brief "flashbacks" once in a while--don't let those derail you as they will pass and finally go away.

You will be surprised how great you feel a month from now
