good evening everyone

Hi and hope everyone had a good day!

What did yall do to stay sober today?

What is something that you would have missed out on if you were drunk or hungover today?

Hi greens hope you had a great day too. I think the main thing that helped me today was to not be hungover for work. Since I wasn't hungover I had a pretty nice day at work and didn't feel the urge to drink when I got home. I also had ice cream ready in the fridge haha

I would have missed out on finishing a big project that's due very soon. I had plenty of time to finish when I came home. I also would have missed out on friendly casual conversation. I also would have missed my calm drive to work and the peaceful morning I had.

Thanks for the reminder!! Have a great week.

Did you have a good day Greens?

Yesterday I finished reading a book, watched the Snooker and had a really nice day with my fiance. If I were drunk I wouldn't have read at all, I would've passed out and not eaten dinner, and I wouldn't have been a great person to be with yesterday!

Work will keep me sober. I would have missed out on some good food if I was sicker or hungover. I would not have slept well either, which in turn would have affected work. Have a great week!

I had a great weekend, got massive amounts of yard work done, stained the deck, did an awesome yoga session, watched a couple of movies, walked the dogs in the forest preserve, shopped, read a little.......
Feel great this morning looking at all my accomplishments!

If I was drinking, I would have opened a bunch of beer bottles!

How was your weekend Greens?

Like newpage I got a lot of yard work done and then went to a movie with my older kids. Overall I'm much more present without drinking and have a lot more time for them and do to stuff as I don't need all that time to drink and be drunk.

If I had been drunk or hungover I wouldn't have been able to walk my beloved dogs. I treasure our walks and don't like to miss them.

I bought a ukelele and spent the afternoon learning to play it. Nice summertime instrument.

I would have lost soo much time through hangovers, the amount of time I used to spend recovering or sleeping off alcohol was crazy!!

I was up early today, fresh and looking forward to seeing the end of the Snooker World Championship this evening!!

I like this thread. Good one greens!
I try to acknowledge and be grateful every day for the freedom sobriety gives me. Had I been drinking this weekend I wouldn't have walked around farmers market (I love the local farmers market!) wouldn't have planted that yummy mint in my garden. Wouldn't have gone on a beautiful hike in the mountains with my dog.

Those are just a few highlights of my weekend. Had a drank I would probably feel like I was just emerging from underneath a rock right now to face Monday full of dread. So grateful I'm sober!

These were all really great to read!!
I could relate to all of your threads. I have to remind myself of what happens AFTER the first drink to remain sober
