Im here again
Im here again
Hey all,
Not sure what to say really, I know I have been gone for ages, maybe 6 months? who knows!
Believe it or not but it took some courage for me to post here again after I have been away for so long having failed for the millionth time at sobriety. Soooo I don't know exactly what to say apart from that I really am ready to give it my all to sobriety from tomorrow.
I am in a very fortunate position where I can get free sessions with a top therapist ( she is a friend of a family friend ) So she can certainly help me with certain issues.
ANYWAYS don't wish to make this a long post, just saying hey to you all, hope each and everyone of you are doing great and here I am.

Glad your back. I just hopped back on 6 days ago after drinking for the last 9 months or so. I Would come to the SR site during that 9months knowing I should post and stop drinking but just couldn't commit. Im feeling much better today and happy I posted. Hang in there! Happy to hear you have support system in place.
Thanks for the input , this really IS the millionth or so time at attempting sobriety, I couldn't do it before without the therapy I just couldn't but I have that one major tool soon in place! I have seen other therapists but they were just cringe worthy and did NOT have a clue, I seen this woman when I was 12 and she said to a family friend ( LONG story there) that if I didn't get sorted then that I was in trouble for later on in life, she was right! BUT she is here once again in my life to help!
Hey chille i remember you well. You gave me a lot of good advice when i first arrived here. Thanks. I've had slips too but but the important thing is to dust yourself off and move forward. I know its cliché but today can be your day one!
Thanks guys! I was REALLY nervous before I posted, just somehow felt ashamed and embarrassed tried to think of excuses of why I have been away for so long etc but just had to come right out and say I am trying AGAIN! Ive not given up the fight!

Hi, Chilled.
Good for you to come back.
It's late at my part of the world, so I'll put it briefly - this time make a plan and stick to it. Like you can't drive safely if you don't hold your steer wheel, it's hard to succeed in sobriety if you fail to have to be the one in charge.
And keep posting. Whatever happens.
Let it be the first item of your plan:
1. Read and post at SR. Every day.
2.
Best wishes to you.

I have certain things in place this time ( without going into too much detail )
Sleep well
You know Chilled, everything happens for a reason. It sounds like you are ready for the help from this therapist and she is ready to help you.
