day 6 Anxiety
Welcome country gal. My anxiety definitely improved in the weeks after quitting, but I still needed help to manage it. Working a recovery plan, getting counseling/therapy or meditation/mindfulness/relaxation can all help. Are you doing any of these or are you just "not drinking"? There is a big difference.

Is it alcohol that you are quitting? If so then anxiety and insomnia are unfortunately quite normal but they do improve given time.
Like Scott says get all the help that you can.

Usually you'll see improvement in a few weeks - most of us do
If the anxiety and self hatred were there before you started drinking, it might take a little longer tho?
