back here again - in more ways than one!

Hello all

well it is good to be back on SR though sadly it is largely because I caved in! The story will be so familiar to you that it is kind of embarrassing to relate.

Anyway, I got to a month with no problem, negotiating several challenges along the way. In my own mind I am aware that I was thinking, 'I'll do a month and then see how it goes.' So I did and month to the day, then I drank a few beers with old pals. There was no inner turmoil, no wrangle - I just sort of did it.

Well, 5 days later I did it again and bigger and this time this time had the hangover to show for it too! I didn't even enjoy the drinking this time.

So, I am now on day 3 again and what have i learnt?

- I prefer sober to drinking in every way
- I should have stayed on SR! LOL!
- My plan was more hole than plan - needs a lot of work
- Don't plan for a month - plan for a life

So hello again. I feel I have let you all down a bit if I am honest. Anyway, here we go again....day 2

All the best

CC

Welcome back!

I've had a lot of day ones and identifying where you went wrong is good, especially since you're back here :-)

Don't be too hard on yourself and stick around

thanks folks. I am taking a lot of positives from the month I did and the fact that I have got back on the horse pretty quickly. Still feel a bit silly though!
Anyway, onward and upward. Going to do some more work on that plan!

Well done CC for getting back on the wagon so quickly, the same thing happened me last month, went for a few one weekend no problems then the following weekend I let rip, felt a bit of a **** and stayed away from SR as was so embarrassed with myself back on day 37 (I was on 80 and thought I have this beat) silly me, here for the long haul now and recovering from PAWS in a terrible way. Well done again on day 2, I found I learned from my short relapse,, not to let it happen again, just not worth the pain. Keep it up CC and let us know how you getting on
