Adding up the sober days
Adding up the sober days
I'm at the end of day four, had an ok day.
I think I've been slowing the recovery of my brain from opiate use by drinking. Spiking my dopamine levels with booze not unlike i was with opiates. Keeping my body chemistry off balance.
I feel good about my goals and reasons for staying clean. More than I've gone into here. It's not easy, almost like ignoring the desires, just keep swimmimg.
Each day is a little, bit better.

You said "just keep swimming", so I had to post the above!
Anyway, you're doing a great job so far and be patient with your body whilst you heal :-)
