This is efffeeeeeeed up.

So, I'm currently having a health issue, I dunno what it is, but it is on my skin.
No, it is not acne or something like that.
My A dad won't take me to the doctor, I don't have enough money to go.
He and my mom had a fight over how he never wants to take us to the doctor, she even said that he didn't wanted to take her one time when she had an infection, this is getting really exahusting for me now.

I really needed to vent.

Some colleges have student health clinics - might be one resource.

Sorry you are dealing with this. It might be time to start looking into ways to get yourself some insurance. I had student health for the first two years of college and than I was able to get insurance through jobs - I specifically took jobs that offered insurance.

You're an adult, so why would you depend on your A father to "take you to the doctor"? If you don't have the $ you should check into all the "free" programs available for those unable to pay for a checkup.

This is the perfect opportunity for you to learn to stand on your own. There are free health clinics as has been mentioned. Teaching hospitals also. You know he's not capable, you know it's been going on for years and won't change. Time to TAKE CHARGE of your life. Not only will you get the help you need, your confidence and self reliance will soar

Does your father carry you on his health insurance? I think that might be till age 26 now. Not sure. If he does try to get the health carrier, and his social security number and get your own card. He doesn't have to take you. If not. try the free clinics. Also find out about student health insurance.

Don't wait for him to take you.

Even if you go to the ER - at least most of them-will send a financial counselor in to help you. They got me on Medicaid when my regular health insurance was terminated.

Thanks for being there.
I went to the doctor by myself.
He said I'm having this skin issue because I'm under a lot of stress, he indicated that I should take Prozac, but since I'm a psychology student I'm not that sure about it.
I have been going to therapy for a little while, and I just recently started meditating, so I'll keep doing these stuff and taking the other two medicines (there are for skin issues, one of them is vitamin A) before taking Prozac.
I'll consult my therapist, I'm afraid of starting to take such treatment.
It seems "a lot" for me.

And you were right, this was a great chance to start being more independent.
Thanks for all so far everyone. I'm very grateful for your support.
