90 days 3 month check
Here I am at 90 days and this is how I feel:
My anxiety has dropped to the lowest it has been in a long time but it did take over a month or 2 for my to really calm down. I used to be afraid of going into the supermarket/Costco or any crowded places and I am now able to again, with some fear still of course.
My health has improved although I have not lost any weight due to the fact I wanted to eat everything in sight for the last 3 months. I have gotten better on this front though and the hunger monster is not as bad as it was. My BP was sky high when I quit (danger/stroke levels) it is still high but not in that realm anymore 135/90 vs 180/120. I am told this takes time and eating and excising are what helps most now that alcohol is cut out.
My life seems to be more orderly and I wonder a lot how I ever got things done when I was always drunk/hungover. I believe my wife was helping keep things together and I am grateful she stood by me. She probably would not have for long and she is very happy of how things are now.
I look forward to staying on here and posting another thread when I hit 180.
I thank all of you for your comments and support. I know I do not comment all that often but I do read a lot of what you are writing and it helps me to relate to what I am going through.

Congratulations on 90 days sva, that is huge! Glad to hear that many of your issues are subsiding too, my BP went from borderline high to very normal after a couple of months too. It's amazing how well our bodies react when we stop poisoning them on a daily basis, huh? Keep up the good work.
