Another great reason to be thankful for being sober!
I am so happy to be sober!
Took a vacation day today, and have a billion things to do....all planned out..
THEN a good friend (a bit of a lush) called and is in town, so will be doing "lunch"....
In the past, doing "lunch" meant having a small amount of food, and a large amount of alcohol! And generally didn't stop after lunch, kept right on going.....
So the day would be shot, had to worry about driving....etc etc...
Today, I picked the restaurant based on their reputation for good food and really good bottomless flavored iced teas.....My big decision will be mango or raspberry.
Then being able to function afterwards, get the rest of the errands done, go back to work tomorrow sans hangover, is PRICELESS!!!!
