Finally joined
I've been reading the forum for a few days and have finally taken the plunge and joined.
I used to drink a couple of bottles of wine a day, stopped totally for about 6 weeks but then it's started creeping back in again.

Hi and welcome to a new life that’s much kinder and refreshing if we let it.
The way we keep the creeping back in is to not pick up the first drink, it’s that simple! Didn’t say it’s always easy but it does get easier a bit each day.

returning to drinking over and over was my pattern, too.
seeing it for what it was/is turned out to be the jumping off point into ongoing sobriety.

Thank you all for the welcomes.
I've walked loads with the dog today and have a meal cooking. After that it'll be a duvet evening and a DVD to watch. Feeling a little lethargic and on edge but keep reminding myself how good sobriety felt.
