Hi everyone.

I'm sorry for leaving some of you concerned. Essentially I was in a car accident (non drink related) and I've recently come out of hospital. I'm back walking around and didn't suffer any serious head injury so I'm pretty much ok. If a little slower moving around.

I've been home for a while, I was just in a pretty bad place and kind of shut off for a while.

A guy had a heart attack at the wheel and crashed into the car I was driving. Just a sad situation, nobody's fault.

As for the drinking? Not a damn chance.

That guy behind the wheel didn't get a choice, I do. It would be pretty selfish of me to throw it all away now.

The only way I'm ever drinking again is if someone puts a gun to my head. Life is fragile, I've learned that the hard way.

No Relapse, No Surrender

Just a question, and I hope it's not taken in the wrong way...

are you from London?

It's just your sign off 'no relapse, no surrender' sounds very much from
the London Nationalist anti-Ira chant...

no retreat, no surrender to the Ira.

are you a Chelsea supporter?

If I'm taken your signature up in the wrong way, I do apologise. But it does sound so british football hooliganism?

Oh, no man, not at all. I'm from the North and had no idea it had those connotations. I don't even watch football!

'no relapse, no surrender' is used pretty commonly around here.

There's absolutely no ties to the IRA, football hooliganism...or Bruce Springsteen songs, CK.

Moving on...

OOf thanks pal....

I wondered about that signature, I really did.

Is it? It's the first time I've seen it here. Should I apologise for having an opinion on the matter? Does not everyone have the right to an opinion or a point of view?

Well maybe it does sound similar. But I'm not going to stop using it, if you let violent people change your behaviour you've let them win.

You've shared your opinion - you were mistaken CK.

This thread is to support Thomas.

Let's all move on now

Cool! Thanks for your reply! I appreciate it as it was neither judgemental or patronising...which is always good. Some people can be patronising but I suppose we have to give them slack.

I suppose I put two and two together.....but I had a weird experience with hmm (that whole experience) Only if your from those two countries you'll understand what I'm saying.

Wow! That's very scary! Sorry about the other driver but I'm glad you came out of it okay. I hope you weren't badly hurt.
