made the most important decision ever!!
Today 9 years ago (2006) I settled in Australia well actually 29th March 2006 lol and today I applied for Australian citizenship! Eeeeekkkk this means I'm losing my Dutch nationality.
Mum also reckons Holland has got nothing to offer anymore and it's not the country anymore that I left behind 9 years ago it has dramatically changed for the worse she said.
She told me to follow my heart and do what feels right (mum's my very best friend!)
So there you go hopefully going to Holland visiting my family July the 20th celebrating my sobriety and new life but then as an Aussie.
Never dared to make this decision until now that I'm sober and have a clear head. My life is so exciting atm im so happy!
Oh and I'll lose my Dutch nationality but thats fine never going back to live in that non liberal country anymore anyway
It has lost it's charms it is not what I left behind nine years ago.
Though I will always feel Dutch cos i was born there and grew up there
