Hi from leb - 3 months sober
Hi everyone,
Just checking in to let you know I'm now 3 months sober and feeling great. The anxiety and low self confidence (caused by alcohol) have retreated and my self esteem and confidence are increasing all the time.
Unfortunately I have swapped my sleepiness for insomnia but nothing too bad. I'm still exercising and getting a kick from lifting weights.
Still hanging around and reading most days, but not posting so much at the moment. Anyway I know where you all are if I feel the need to get something off my chest! Hope all is well with you. Stay strong, Together we can do this.

Normally after a couple of weeks away from booze I sleep like a baby but not this time. I am really restless and have been feeling a bit cheated about that. LOL!
I am putting to down to a passing phase and also as a message to increase my physical activity. Anyway it is nothing compared to the travails of binge-drinking!

Great job leb, 3 months is great! Must have been enjoyable,watching the Cricket World Cup while sober. Sorry if I'm over simplifying that everyone in NZ and Oz loves Cricket, but seems like it was exciting.
I'm at 6 weeks sober. Also noticed my anxiety levels dropping. My self esteem unfortunately has not changed, but my insomnia has mostly gone away now that alcohol is out of my life and my medication is working more effectively. Guess we have some similarities and some differences.
Again, 3 months is fantastic. Keep it up!
