Try something new - it feels good!
Well I have been telling myself I have to get out and do different stuff, change habits, grow a little.....
Signed up for a class at the local community college.
I was really looking forward to it.
But tonight came, first night of class, and didn't go well. Couldn't find the building...couldn't figure out where to park....who are all these young people running around, why am I here...running late....stress...stress...stress.
And that little negative voice inside me (sounds suspiciously like my AV), said "OH you don't HAVE to go, you are late anyway, you don't belong here, just drive away."
Overcame the negative, found the classroom, was only 2 minutes late, enjoyed the class, laughed and met great people.
I don't remember the last time I had so much fun!!!!
So, the point of the story is: Challenge yourself, do something different, you might really enjoy it!!!

This made me smile too! Good for you! That's great. You perfectly described that frazzled mind set I'd get, setting myself up for I need a drink this is too much for me to handle get me our of here.

That is awesome!
I am a firm believer in pushing ones comfort zone. I have such a wimpy rationalizing voice inside me that always wants me to stay the same and never tread outside my zone and whenever I tell him to take a hike and I try something new it pays off.
