Survived Business Trip Sober
I am back from a 4-day business trip which I was dreading because of my past affinity for using such occasions as binge drinking opportunities. I was always happy to be in a different city with strangers so I could get absolutely wasted, act horribly, and then leave and never have to see any of those people ever again. In my drunken mind, it was the perfect set up. So I was very nervous about this recent trip because I thought it would trigger about 5,000 signals to drink. A lot. I'm not saying it was easy but I got through it and did not drink and I feel really good about that! I walked a lot exploring the city, ate a lot of good food, went to the gym in the hotel, and went to bed early every night while the majority of the conference attendees partied all night. Woohoo!
