It's 2 years and two months since I somehow managed to get off the roundabout of drinking uncontrollably to the point of pointless destruction. Everyday is a challenge but I am mystified by how alcohol can take hold and lead you in to meaningless repetitive cycle. Only I understand how bad it really was and only fellow alcoholics understand the urge to drink.
I respect the power alcohol has and will have over me.
The incredible side of all this is the brilliant quality of life I have now I am sober. It's a mystery to me why I could have wandered so aimlessly off the point of life it's self.
Every days a miracle and I am taking life neat without any anaesthetic to numb it.
