What's going on, Dave?

I'm not gonna lie. It's good to feel like a human being again. Not a jittery anxious mess.

It's a short-lived, temporary and deceptive reprieve, Dave. In the end, alcohol only fuels the anxiety.

I'm sick of sticking it out and trying to be strong. And STILL feeling like **** after 2 plus months. It's so much easier to just feel better

Dave....what about tomorrow? This is not what you were saying the other day.

Being drunk is not a normal human state....it's not sustainable long term and you know that.

What's going on?

I know it's not normal but it's all I know. Since I was 17. I'm 37 now. That's a lot of life being this way.

Please don't go out Dave. You're not doing yourself any favors.
It's better to get sober now than try and get sober down the road with numerous health problems. It's not going to get easier, but will only get worse.

Compared to what could be a lifetime of misery, I think that I would give it a little more time being sober. For all that I have seen, it get's better.

Dave...we are the same age, and yes, it's a lot of life spent drunk....but we've got a lot more life to live and I can't imagine you want you live the next 37 years drunk. I know I don't.

Idk guys. I get what you're saying. I'm a pretty intelligent guy. That's half my problem actually. I feel and see too much. I almost wonder if this isn't better. Even if it kills me. I'm not asking for attention or anything like that. It's not fake drama. It's just better this way I think.

Right now I can't think of a good reason to not feel like I do right now for the rest of my life.

Remember writing this?

"Hello. I'm 61 days sober today. Doing ok. Not great."

So you were OK then, feeling like **** today. The difference between then and now? You are drinking; your addiction wants you to keep drinking, so now sobriety sux. The rantings of someone in his cups.

I hope you haven't slide down the rabbit hole too deep, Dave, to get back on the sober path.
