Happy Mothers Day (UK)
First of all - Happy Mothers Day to all mums and everyone who takes on the 'mum' role.
Feeling a bit flat. I have the most amazing 16 year old son and frequently rave about him (2 weeks today -at this time - he will be fast asleep in Washington DC having flown over from here the day before). Anyway, he has bought me a present but hasn't wrapped it as I know what it is. Hasn't set his alarm so he can do breakfast/walk dog etc, has made plans to meet up with friends today etc etc
I KNOW he's a normal teen and I KNOW the depiction of mum in bed with breakfast tray, kids tidying house and everyone playing happy families is the advertising companies lies but I'm feeling a little bleurghhh.
I think it's just my AV's way of coming up with a reason to have a drink - after all alcohol cares, doesn't it??
Right, said it, got it out my system, I will be signing in tonight alcohol free!
Thank you for humouring me :-D
