Thumbs up Yes You Can! Sober Weekender Thread March 13-15

One of those moments when I turned a corner in my learning to live soberly, was when I finally accepted that I was actually living sober. It's in the acceptance of my sobriety that I found the belief in myself to fight each day.

Yes... you CAN stay sober. Accept it as something that is real. Even for a day. Even for a week. Keep believing in it. Own it every chance you can. And over time living it will become more normal.

Are you ready for a sober weekend?

Yes we can!

Thanks Weasel! I was looking at another thread when you sneaked this in.

I'm in! Sunday is the annual neighborhood St. Patrick's day parade which had devolved into a horrible drunk fest. Cancelled for a couple years due to the increasing crowds of unruly drunks. Much calmer now but I'm planning on fleeing the 'hood for the day. Tail end of parade route and hard getting in or out.

Welcome clear mind! Join us for the ride.

Looking forward to corned beef this weekend.

I'm in. I was picking at a piece of loose wallpaper in my kitchen and next thing I know I've torn swaths off the wall. OMG! Now, I have to fix it (this is a rental). I have put on some drywall compound and hope to sand off and make it even. Then paint. Jeepers...no more picking!

At least I have a project to keep me busy this weekend. Sheesh.

Phoenix, how are you doing? Good to see you. I like your spirit and congratulations on your anniversary.

CalicoFish, I understand the picking at wallpaper. Its so tempting. I've done it myself. But it does create projects to keep you busy.

Sounds good, Phoenix. Dinner and relaxing sound good to me and it's not even noon here. I'm hungry.

That's a really good donut, but my blood sugar is going to be spiking for the next 8 hours.

Duck donuts sound good Non. I had a chocolate frosted cake donut this morning. Breakfast of champions. I was thinking it was something fried in duck fat.
