Hey Family, my name is Jerome and I'am a Addict/Alcoholic. I got clean thru AA and found my sponsor threr also. At 3 1/2 years I felt the need to go out and change my clean date, thank God I lived thru it and my sponsor didn't cut me lose. It did how ever damage our relationship for a while, I stoped returning his calls and stop checking in altogether for almost 2 years. Back in January of this year I was found to have type 2 diabetes, the blood test also brought I had Hepatitis C. I knew about the hep sence 2000 and had been in denial about it. I had a liver biopsy done when they removed my Gallbladder in 2000, it read: chronic hepatitis with cirrhosis grade2, stage4. I told my new doctor at the first of this year about it and gave the biopsy report, he sent me to a liver specialist who started talking transplant and sent me to the Emory Clinic in Atlanta. Well talk about God thru this program, I was at my doctor office waiting for to have a blood test I had to have before I when to Emory, out of the blue and for no reason know to man in walks my sponsor. I'm very greatful to have him back in my life, this treatment has all kinds of side effects, aches and pains, depression, anxity/panic attacks. My doctors all know my using story and my desire to do this treatment narcotic free. And my sponsor is on 24 hour call for me to help me thru anything he can, sites like this is part of my support team. So that's where I'm at today, look forward to getting to know as many people I can, Peace.

Thanks All for the Welcome, it's great to see Recovery on-line!! I'm planing on being here a lot. To quote Ben Franklin " An idle mind is the devil's playground." That's very true with this Addict, if I'm not thinking about my recovery it goes idle quickly. So if I'm posting to much just play along.
