First post (and on Day 2)
Hi everyone!
This is my first post and my first day that I discovered this website and I have to admit, I'm nervous, but also excited. I'm hoping to utilize this website in addition to other recovery websites and books.
My story is that I'm 30 and I just recently went through a divorce and I've been struggling with alcohol for the past ten years (on and off). In the past few months, I've had many days of bingeing and being hungover and I've realized that I'm sick of it, and I know that it is not good for me and I'm ready to quit.

Hi AW, welcome to SR.
I see a common theme emerging. I divorced at 30 and went off the rails with the drinking. I started stopping for good when I was 47. It's great you are working on this now. Stick around and read. Pick up suggestions. It's a scary step to take but it's worth it.
