Prayer Request
I just learned that a friend's son committed suicide the day after his 30th birthday.I would be truly grateful for prayers sending peace and comfort to this young man and his family.

Prayers to all those that loved him. It's a devastating loss. When someone suffers a loss to suicide, often people don't know what to say, so they say nothing in the hopes it doesn't drudge up more pain. As a person who lost one of the most important people in my life to suicide, I can tell you that just showing up for this friends is all you have to say. Keep checking in on them, encourage them to get active in the suicide survivors support groups.

Thank you everyone for your kind prayers and thoughts. Imperfectly, I'm very grateful for your suggestions and truly sorry to learn that you lost a loved one this way
I'm getting ready to jump on a plane in just a moment. So wish I wasn't heading out of town, even though Our friend doesn't live locally: my partner, who has know this young man all his life, is truly heart broken
