just checking in - day 4 :)

Feeling good!
Not amazing, as the first 2 nights of insomnia were exhausting, but at least night 3 was on my broken by the youngest disturbing a few times. Maybe tonight is the night I get a block of unbroken sleep! Would be nice as I have a big day at work coming up - but hey at least I will be fresh and clear-thinking and not worry about smelling of vodka!

I'm shocked how less bloated I am. I no longer have that pregnant-looking pouch and just feel more streamline without huge diet or exercise changes yet. I've also cut down on caffeine too (was downing 6-8 cups of coffee a day....)

Soooo yeah I don't feel sparkly amazing but do finally feel like all the toxins and related effects have left the building and my body is cleaner! Now if I could just get some sleep and energy to start exercising and dieting better I'd be really winning! As it is I'm feeling strong. Only had 1 craving at the supermarket but walked passed the alcohol aisle without a second glance. Still feel revolted by that last hangover to ever be tempted to unleash that stuff on my poor body again!

Could do with finding something else that's nice to drink in the evenings. Hot chocolate and hot lemon are not cutting. Cordial or coke bit dull too. Hmm will have a think.sorry for waffling just wanted to put in writing that I'm doing well so far; long may it continue x

Good work! It just keeps getting better from here,

I find a lime cordial and sparkling water is sometimes just the ticket in the evening

Hi sorry to bump this back up but I've not been online for 24hrs and only just seen your lovely responses; thanks so much for the support and encouragement, it means a lot And Ooh yes green tea varieties! Good idea thanks!

Just little update - Day 5 and feeling great! Kids have me a 5hr unbroken block of sleep last night (which in my world/their standards is great!) and I pulled off the big thing I was doing at work today pretty well too. But even better - I finally went out for a run! Well I say run but I mean ploddy jog lol it was amazing - first proper bit of exercise all year now the nights are getting warmer. It was a strong wind so my hair was blown crazy and I got covered in salty sea spray, all under a huge full moon with my favourite dance tracks playing... sooooo much more invigorating than a glass of anything on the sofa! Came home and I did some abs, plank, push-ups etc. Endorphin high, woot woot! Feel amazing!
