Fresh Start -Again!!
Hi I'm back again. Had my first night without Alcohol for the first time last night, which was surprisingly OK. Didn't sleep well though, hopefully will sleep better after another alcohol free night which I'm confident I will achieve.

Sleep will come.
Just give it time.
Why not have a look at sleep hygiene on the internet?
Sleep hygiene is about having the right environment and rules for getting good sleep.
Things like no caffeine after a certain point in the day.
No TV, laptops in the bedroom.
Don't nap during the day or after a certain time as it will stop you falling asleep.
Having a warm bath and some warm mild can help.
If you are worried about things, write them down on a paper, but them to one side, then deal with them later. It helps stopping thinking about worries that might keep us awake.
How's Sunderland today?
Is it cold? xx

I hate the erratic sleep patterns. Once you start notching up those clean days, I've noticed that you fall into much better nights' sleep. I try to set a "go to bed" time and stick to it regardless of how tired I may or may not be. Stay at it. Best to you.

Thanks Guys, yes just got to take it a day at a time and hope the sleep improves, one night of poor sleeps is fine, it's when it starts to mount up. the weather in Sunderland today is OK, the sun is breaking through although still quite cold.

Hi Craig, I had a similar drinking pattern to you - daily drinker of lager and such. Took me four or five days before I got my first night of good sleep but from then on it was so much better. Now sleep is actually refreshing where I used to wake up every day feeling crap. Hang in there, it may take a few days but its really worth it and will get better.
