I never could have imagined

Made it through an entire week... No alcohol no drugs. I've got the shakes been throwing up have a splitting headache at times my eyes even feel like they are shaking. This week has been very trying but with the help of a good friend and family I'm persevering through this hell. Today when I woke up I felt like there was a small light at the end of this tunnel. Don't know if anyone else has experienced this but things seemed brighter this morning. Hard to explain. But I thought wow what the hell is happening I'm seeing colour ....everything doesn't seem so hazy and grey.

Great news Reywas. Sorry to hear you have had such a rough time of it, but yes - i do remember days like that where something good would happen to give me hope, and they really do make a difference. The acute withdrawals don't last for ever, I hope this is a sign that you are moving on to the next stage.

Good for you for your decision to quit. The withdrawals will pass, and just remember, you never have to go through them again.
Hang in there, it gets better every day.

It is incredible. It's like awakening from a nightmare. It only gets better.

The good news is that we get our feelings back. The bad news is that we get our feelings back. What you experienced is normal. Happened to me.

I found when I finally got a good nights sleep the next day was amazingly positive. Took me a few nights of restless sweating and night mares but finally I felt human, but it was worth it!

One of the first things I noticed too! Like everything is in HD! You can do this! Well done for getting through such a tough week!
