Exclamation Idenity

Its been a week of being sober. Tomorrow I,m going for help. I,ve been abusing alcohol. Almost lost my husband. Now I want to go back to the person I was. Help ! I creid and cried, But my husband has been lovey, lovey with me. I,m making the choice for help. No one is forcing me. I feel weird. Its a habit....

Its sneaky

It has a sneaky way of coming up on you. I drank at home, and I betrayed my husband and myself. We are good at hiding drinks. I prefer Wine.

Hi Edwardsc

I moved your thread to our Newcomers forum - you'll get more response here

One of the best things of recovery for me was rediscovering who I really was.
You'll find a lot of support here - welcome to SR

Welcome, Edwardsc; congrats on your decision to quit drinking! You will find a lot of information and support here, but do also secure other sources of help if you feel the need.

We all have done some horrible things drunk... I think you will relate to many stories here And so many great success stories to get inspiration from.

Great to meet you Edwards! It was a way of life for me too, & it was hard to admit it was destroying me. It felt strange in the beginning, but after awhile I loved being clear headed and in control. You'll get there.
