Reasons to be Cheerful, Part 1
So, here I am struggling through day 2 and I thought it might be good to have a Reasons to be Cheerful thread. The idea is to come up with one reason why I should be cheerful each day. Not sure if this is the right place to post but my reason for today is simply that I have yesterday under my belt. Please join in if you wish. Frankie x

I'm cheerful that I still have some rather hot pepper puree's in the pantry that I made this summer with the extra time I had usually spent drinking. I'm also especially cheerful that my pepper-loving-wife and I are still planning meals together sober that we may indulge our hot-headedness in more sustainable ways (the last batches are paint-peelers with more bhut jolokia than recommended). I'm glad to see you too Frankie!
I'm cheerful about the rain and fog. We are breaking out of a winter storm here in southeast Virginia. Temperatures have gone from records lows to 50 and rain is melting the ice and snow. If it had been nice and sunny all week, maybe I'd be bummed. But after the cold, it feels like spring.

One reason you should be cheerful: You're not hungover since you didn't drink last night.
Another reason to be cheerful: no regrets, phone calls, or texts about things you did while under the influence of alcohol last night.
