Hello everyone,

I have 40 days sober today!

I'm SO grateful for my sobriety and really want to keep this going and build on it.

Life feels so much better. A few areas of my life are hopefully starting to move forward, and things are more peaceful. I so much hope that this continues.

It's wonderful to wake up refreshed and ready for the day each morning. I'm still dealing with some occasional anxiety but it is improving every day.

I never want to go back to those last days of my drinking.....the extreme anxiety, paranoia, sleeplessness, sweats and shakes and that awful toxic smell off my sweat.

I was fortunate enough to get the chance to go to rehab and I intend to grab this opportunity with both hands and keep building on my sobriety. I love reading posts from long-term sober members here who say it gets better and better - I'm hoping this is the case for me too.
