all over the freaking place
all over the freaking place
So, it is Saturday, (day 34) someone set me off today, some disagreement at a shop about my new glasses that I think are wrong.
Anyway, felt angry, upset, more angry, more upset, depressed, aggressive (mainly screaming at traffic in front of me, normally never do that ) and crying.
Yup I have hit that emotional roller coaster that you mob are all talking about, have experienced it several times now. I am NOT liking it that I cannot control my emotions. Went home, called Lifeline. Not very useful.
I was going to do some night photography tonight 130 km drive to the nicest gorge we have here, but hey why not! it is overcast all of a sudden. (Note in central Australia we always have blue skies- well almost always). I am so frustrated! and depressed upset and angry, still
Thanks for listening

Yeah its a bumpy road at first.
If nothing else, just proves you really are an alcoholic.
Non alchies stop and life just flows on and up.
Excessive alcohol consumption was weighing them down.
The crashers, eventually get that alcohol wasn't holding them down, it was holding them up.
But, then we rise from the ashes.
Just takes time.
Which is a hard thing to grasp for us.. .....we like results now..... Preferably yesterday actually Lol.

Congrats on 34 days, that is awesome !
I got very down for a while, sat on the sofa a lot for two or three weeks- didn't think it would ever pass, but it did.
It's gonna be a roller coaster for a while, your nervous system and brain function have both taken a battering with the booze.
Hang in there ((()))

Taking your dog to the park sounds like a great idea. When I was early in recovery I'd walk my dogs when I got the urge to drink. They got a lot of walks for a while there, I got lots of exercise and stayed sober. A real win-win.
Congrats on 34 days!

it seems I am an inspiration she said
a friend told me I am her inspiration. She is dealing with comfort eating issues. She wants to see if she can address that.
Another friend said the same, she told me she now decided to go to the gym to get fit.
Coz to be honest, if Joycie can do it! anyone can do it.
Ain't pretty and easy every day, but hey life is not easy.
that was just the nicest twist of my crazy day today

except today
Try taking some photos of the clouds themselves.
They make great subjects.
The nice thing about digital cameras (I am assuming that is what you are using; forgive
me if I'm wrong), is that you can take a bucu amount of images, then delete the sub-par ones.
I've taken many astrophotos of the moon and some planets; by coupling a digital camera
to my telescope. Out of perhaps 50 shots, only 1 or 2 would be outstanding. Sort of like
digital camera lotto.

Things will get better emotionally. Alcohol not only kept your feelings buried, it got your brain used to a different neurochemical balance (one that depended on alcohol). Now that you're off the booze, your brain chemistry is returning to its pre-drinking state, a process which can cause anxiety, irritability, etc. until things get normalized. There is some good information out there about PAWS (post acute withdrawal syndrome) which some suffer from.
Great news is the improvement over time you will experience. I'm 130 days sober and when I compare now to early sobriety, it's like night and day.
