Back in recovery

I am new to this forum. I began attending AA in 1997 while in a treatment center, as a result of an intervention. I got 2.5 years and then started drinking again. A few years later I celebrated 1 year again. Then I returned to drinking once more. There was also a period of time where I didn't drink but was not going to AA. Finally, after retiring, I tried once more to drink like a normal person. That is impossible for an alcoholic. So after drinking my way into the 2015 new year, I made a commitment to stop drinking. My sobriety date is jan 3, 2015.

Welcome Donna, you will find a lot of support in these forums. Congrats on quitting again, welcome back to the bandwagon. Good luck on your decision to stop drinking again.
