Typically..
Typically..
In recent years, I would typically have prayed for a day like today. It's snowing like crazy, my school has been canceled tomorrow, and I have no reason to have to get out the house. Typically under those circumstances, I would be glad that basically any responsibilities would be dissolved, and that would give me a perfectly good excuse to start drinking. Typically, I'd be a few drinks in by now...
That's not the case today, though! Instead, I'm perfectly content with relaxing in my warm bed, watching the snow fall, and catching up on some of the shows I like to watch.
I'm grateful that "typical" isn't where I am anymore. 117 days today.
I hope you all have a good Monday. And if the weather is bad where you are, which is the case here-we have been put under a state of emergency due to the amount of snow- I hope you are safe and warm. XXX

Thank you, Jen!
We had 8 inches 2 hours ago when I measured it outside. And it hasnt stopped, and its not going to stop until at least 4 am. Its not the amount of snow that makes it so bad, its all the back country roads that are curvy and hilly that makes driving so dangerous. :/
I'm the SAME way, despise winter. I turn into a hermit, and in the past, have had worse issues with drinking during the winter months.. cant get out to do anything, why not drink mentality, ya know...
Glad to break the cycle.
I have literally been counting down the days until spring, 32 to be exact.
Can't wait to plant flowers and veggies, work with my honey bees... ahh...spring <3

Same here in New England. Snowstorms keep coming on my days off (early in the week) and I've actually had some extra days off because of it. In my drinking days this would have been absolutely perfect!
...until I had to shovel my car out with a hangover.

Thanks for the comiment HillyBilly, (Wink, Wink)
Yeah, hangovers can be a pain when you have to do anything physicial. Here in Indiana, we dont have much stay home, we drive in it. We havent had a huge snowstorm this year.

I bet you're glad for that, Jen.. I hate snow.. yea, it might be pretty, but only looking at out the window from the warmth of my house
If our roads werent so bad, we'd drive in it too, but the road I live on, is much too dangerous to drive in the snow.
