2 month update
Hey everyone!
Sorry I haven't been on here but life is just crazy.
My boyfriend has been clean off heroin since December. He does occasionally have a beer and I know people will say that hes not clean and sober but a beer once or twice a week is way better then what he was doing.
We have been doing ok. We have our ups and downs like all couples.
Most of arguments are about money since hes not working but I know that will change hopefully soon.
Emotionally I feel pretty good, there are times when I think about what happened and the things he has done and I get angry but I have to remember that those things are in the past and I have to look forward to the future.
He has been more open to talk about things and it helps. I know he feels bad for what he did and being out of work gets him down but I just tell him that a job will come around and to not get stressed about stuff he cant control.
I take time out for myself as much as I can, which is hard with a job and 8 cats.
I think that's all that's really going on. We are both taking things one day at a time because that's all we can do.

Lily, I am glad that you are happier and hope that things stay stable for the two of you.
The important think is that you can take care of yourself, if need be, and you have choices of what you want for your life.

I hope a job will come along for him soon, Im sure its frustrating for him.
You do sound busy! I hear you on the animals, they keep us moving. Haha they will just not be denied and if yours are like mine, they are not shy about expressing their needs.
Hope it keeps going well and gets better and better.
