I want to share a few stories....
I want to share a few stories from the past 36 hours.
I am on day 2 of being sober. Saturday, I started drinking at 9 because I was angry, upset, and irritated at my husband. I passed out around 3. Woke up sometime that evening in a drucken state and started fighting with my husband for no reason. Went back to bed. Woke up again at 11 pm. I was not drunk anymore. I went to the store but not for beer. On my way back, I got pulled over! Apparently, I was driving with no lights! Normally, I would've had alcohol in my system (which I'm sure I still did, but wasn't drunk). He didn't even give me a ticket. But reflecting back, if I went to the store inebriated, I would've gotten a DUI! I'm so thankful I wasn't drunk!
While taking my stepson home last night, we stopped at the store to get drinks. Instead of my 24oz beer for the ride, I got decaf coffee!! I hardly ever drink coffee, and never at night! I had a few shakes last night but got thru them without alcohol!
This morning, my son came to me at @ 6am telling me he had poison ivy and asked if we had anything for it. Instead of telling him we will deal with it later when he gets home from school and rolling over back to sleep, I got up! I researched natural remedies and treated him! I did the motherly thing!
I then had to move my vehicle out of the way so my husband could leave. Boy, it's busy on my street at 7am and never knew it! The garbage guys were working, school bus behind them, kids waiting for their bus, cars waiting behind the bus to go to work. I didn't know so much went on in the early morning, or I have forgotten. I left for work ON TIME, stopped at the grocery for breakfast, and made it to work ON TIME, actually a few minutes early!!
