I'm very much alive lol More importantly SOBER !!! Have been since, what seems forever, but I choose not to keep track as I saw it as more pressure on me.

My anxiety has not gotten any better, but I'm dealing the best I can. Pain if anything is worse, but w\ dad and all I have no choice but to deal.

My father has improved greatly & his walking is coming along. My Pats won the Superbowl !!!! Things are not getting better on my end; but just being needed here has actually helped my mental state some.

I've had urges, but never acted on them & even had a "new" old friend take me to lunch & offered not to drink around me. Which is a first from the only 3 friends I have here. She has been very supportive as well.

So things aren't bright & sunny, but a little bit sunnier for now. My ex's mother has been helping in my attempt to get back to Boston. I know if I get too comfortable here; things will turn ugly fast. But like I said feeling needed has given me a boost.

So will try to check in more as soon as the weather allows me. Thanx for being here & the kind people you are ...

It's great to hear from you, AW! I'm glad you're hanging in there and staying sober. No matter how bad things get that's one thing no one can take away from you. Things can get better. Looks like things are looking up a bit.

Not here with my folks; no insurance, no money & any kind of assistance near me would involve me taking public transportation to a drug invested hood ... Last time I took the bus to visit dad, I started to have an attack so got off & just walked the 2miles lol. Couldn't do that to the only place I know I can go. I pretty much am creeping towards agoraphobic. Only thing that helps when I have to grocery shop is I grew up here & a few ma & pa stores here know me & let me "gather myself" before I get too panicked before I shop...

I'm also sober since may 2013. I'm a musician and a Dead Head. A lot of people from my past are Dead, I'm just Grateful.
