7 hours to go

I don't know if you've seen my previous posts. I relapsed after 4 months sober (AV convinced me that drinking water on New Years Eve was a bad idea... )

And a few weeks later and after a lot of stressful problems...I ended up binging again.

Last night I had a big scary AHA moment. First I read about alcohol and brain damage...then I had a gross accident that made me realize how much I was hurting my GI tract.

I stopped drinking right there.

An hour ago I started to panic, I am actually still shaking. And my AV was screaming to get a drink to stop this horrible withdrawal.

I still have 7 more hours to go until the 24 hour mark. I know it will not end there but 24 hours sober always gave me much more courage to go on.

You can do this, Patricia; no doubt.

We do a lot of physical, emotional and mental damage when we drinking alcoholically.

Have you spoken to your doctor?

sober Leigh is right, you might check with your doctor. Drinking is not the cure and will only prolong the agony, I know this from my own experiences.

you can do this.

Love from Lenina

Hi Patricia, are you in need of a medical detox?

I don't think so. I get shaky hands and anxiety when I crave alcohol. It comes and goes but I managed to do a few things around the house to keep me busy today.

I think it's mostly psychological. I am scared of not being able to control my emotions and my anxiety without alcohol.

One more hour has passed. I am still not feeling well but I made it through a horrible craving.

It was scary but it didn't kill me. I hope they don't repeat, at least not as strong.

You can power through it, Patricia. Why not take a warm, long relaxing bath after dinner.

A long relaxing bath sounds lovely

I'm eating a small bowl of steamed rice...a small improvement.

Oh I don't want to go through this again! It's worse than being in labour!

I don't want to have to do this ever again. I'm so scared of eventually having kindling withdrawals if I keep relapsing.
