I'm now the ...
Sober friend..not a bad thing! I have two couples at an event in my town, that are getting smashed and asked for a ride...I can't say "no" since both couples have helped me out in the past...and I'm sure I've made an ass out of myself in front of both...so...here I go! Guess it's time to give back..Even though my bed looks soooooo comfy!
You can say no you dont have to be rude but you can say no
If its too much and a trigger 5000% say no if its i can get through this & i know 5000% il be ok then do it by all means
I had to learn to put my sobriety first early on if i was feeling uncomfortable i didnt do it.....At some point i had to flex them sober muscles but first i had to build them
I know its only a car ride but seriously if your not up to it dont do it
spk soon bud

I'm actually proud to be the sober driver...I've been doing "my thing" for over 10yrs now... I'm more than happy to return the favor. Might cost me gas money, but they have all helped me in the past, Everyone made it home safely.. Good times!

I agree with Soberwolf, IF is causes you a trigger.
But it can be a great experience also. To see people act like fools can strengthen your sobriety.
And a good deed always makes us feel good. So kudos to ya!

I had to confront the bar as I have work meetings there. I had to conquer being there without alcohol. I found simply being there isn't a trigger for me. I've been a DD twice though, and it's boring as I'm ready to leave by about midnight and the drinkers don't want to leave until
Bar close.... Probably not going to do that again for them because of it. I enjoyed it just to a point.
