Growing up

Had a bad encounter today with my neighbors wife, she brought up stuff from the last night I drank. In the past this would have been the perfect excuse to get drunk. But now I see it as her having the problem, I've moved past that awful night & I thought she had too.We had done several things together & was blown away by the way she treated me today. So this shows me how much I've grown. Being sober means I won't have to dwell on her negative comments, I choose to look forward to a brighter future with a sober,positive attitude.

Great reaction HC, and I'm sure in time people will understand you've changed, and that will be the best amends.

Your neighbour may appreciate you have moved on and finally feels 'safe' to express her resentment. Take her some flowers.

am I the only one wondering "we did some things" is? lol....maybe time to move?

More importantly, great on being sober for the night, stick around the collateral damage is all around with sober eyes..it will take some month before your plate is full of "work" to do.....
