weird dreams I was drinking again
Hi team,
Lastvnight I had about 3 consecutive dreams that I had started drinking again. It was more like a nightmare to be honest and I felt really guilty and sad when I did it. It was so real I decided to rake the day off to get pussed in my dream. I woke really relieved it wasnt real or true. I even had friends handing me drinks. Psyche sais its me letting go of the past self that's no longer my present self....anyone else get these dreams?

They're very common Justin. I know they're very vivid but try and relax.
I never worried too much about them or thought they were any kind of a sign my recovery was in trouble...
I still dream about high school, but I don't want to go back there.

Yeah I had a couple very unsettling ones this past week too, including a bizarre one in which I was using LSD and drinking... All sorts of weird things happened and I blacked out in the dream. It was really awful and left me shaken for a while after I woke.
But I've come to realize that these are not that unlike any other nightmare. There may sometimes be a correlation to stress in my day to day life or my balance being a bit off, so I try to look at that and make changes if warranted.
Sometimes though, dreams are just dreams. Our nocturnal minds sorting through memories and firing off imaginings and gazing into the mysterious depths of our consciousness.
Dreams in general are mysterious. Try not to get too flapped about it.
