My sister just told me tonight that she and her husband are expecting!

This will be their first. She had a miscarriage last year, but so far her doctor is saying good things about this pregnancy. <3

When she first told me, I was happy, of course, but it was mixed with sadness.

Here she is having a baby and celebrating...and I've been so exhausted with all of this addiction/Al-Anon stuff. UGH. Not fair, not fair, not fair I wanna yell!

But after having a good cry about it and feeling sorry for myself, I'm choosing to turn it around and just focus on the good.

I think it's another wonderful thing I can put my attention on instead of my AH and our life situation.

I can continue to focus on me and also be excited to be there for my sister and her wee one. She even invited me to the next ultrasound! We live an hour apart, so I'm really blessed that I'll be able to be in her child's life.

Addiction sucks, but life goes on and good things happen! <3

I had a miscarriage the first time I was pregnant, and I was pretty excited the next time, once I got past the "danger zone." So happy for you and your sister!
