OT: Blizzard of 2015
So by the time 3 PM rolled around in my corner of the Merrimack Valley, there was about 30" of snow on the ground. What you see here is my buried car before my driveway was cleared and I dug it out. The one good thing about this monster storm was it is extremely cold out, which meant the snow was very light and easy to move. That's about the only good thing about the storm.
God, I hate winter.
Hope you're all well.

It was in the mid 70s and sunny here today. Tomorrow it's supposed to reach 80 degrees, but then we have a front coming through at it will be 60s for the next couple of days. Rain and 40s all weekend.

Well, at the moment, it's 13 degrees out, but feels like -5 degrees and there's at least 33 inches of snow outside my house. I think I'll take the mid 70's.
I hope you are staying warm and safe.
No snow here in Seattle but chances of rain (what's new? LOL).
Well you have a perfect opportunity to go out there and make snow angels or even a duck snowman

It was a really light snow - much better than the wet stuff we got earlier this week. We dodged the bullet with under a foot...i'm one of those nuts that would have liked more. Love outdoor winter activities.
But still...a beach, some sun and warm breezes would sure be delightful!
Glad you're safe though not too happy with Mother Nature.

I'm in South Florida. Come and visit me! But bring your sweater. I went out to dinner with my two girlfriends and wore a sleeveless sweater but it has a turtleneck and then a blouse over it. I joked to my friends that I only wear this sweater once a year and this was that one night. I like it but it only looks good if it is kinda cool out.
Someone mentioned the beach. Too cool for that as far as actually getting in the water but walking on it might be nice.
It is really kind of nice to have a thread that isn't about addiction isn't it? We should do more non addiction threads.

Thanks for posting. I love seeing photos from other countries. I know you hate winter but I think it looks pretty!
Meanwhile it's 100C here and I'm trying to keep the garden alive.

Dear Zoso,
Poor guy, don't hurt ur back shoveling that
snow!
Here in WisconSIN, the winters are unforgiving
yet beautifully "clean" with all the dirt and dead
leaves covered up by white soft snow!
We only got a few inches of the white stuff and
it's a balmy 26 above (0) out!! Heat wave in my
"neck of the woods!"
Stay warm SR!!

Thankfully, because it was positively frigid out, the snow was very, very light. I had one snowdrift at my back steps that was easily 4 1/2 feet high. Fortunately, I'm 6'2", so when it came time to get rid of it, it wasn't too bad.
This was easily the worst storm I've seen since the infamous Blizzard of '78. In fact, we probably got more snow this storm than we did 37 years ago. If my business unit were in southwest Florida, I'd be down there tomorrow. Better to golf all year long than deal with this crap.
Everyone here (NJ) kept waiting and waiting for it but it seemed to stay out over the ocean and head up to you.
Good thing it's cold like you said, makes the snow light to shovel.
My some day place during the winter will be in south Floriday!!!!
