MASSIVE craving- aarg.....
SO Ive been fine (in general) for a month.
Then today- this eve a huge wave of crave. I was this close to a beer purchase.
I told my wife "I just want to have a few beers- watch the snow storm and relax"
My wife responds "Why would you do that? you used to just go down to the cellar and pound beers- no view of snow- and you never watched snow .....just got wasted".......
REALITY CHECK - MV AV is a SOB and a liar.
SO ...as I type- Im watching the snow FIGHTING a craving. SOBER
Cake time I guess....???
aarg.

Way to fight it off Livingnow...I almost gave in at the store yesterday myself...The cashier gave me a funny look when I put 3 empty cans of monster that I drank while shopping on the belt to pay for...

Thanks for the link Soberwolf. Cravings have always been my downfall in the past. The desire to consume alcohol has simply overwhelmed my defences - my logic and will power to the extent pretty much nothing could resist it. I dread that happening to me and any tips, advice or experience would be most welcome. (I should add that I do have elements in my 'plan' which are aimed at combating them).
Your wife gave a great objective rebuttal and that is the key!!
When you're in the middle of a craving nothing is objective, your addiction is doing the talking so don't trust anything it is trying to sell you, because it's all lies and fairytales!!
