Hello everyone
Hey everyone just wanted to say hi. I'm looking forward to using this message board for help and inspiration with my own going sobriety.
Today is day one.
One month ago in December I finished up 80 days of no drinking and since then have went back to drinking.
Since college I've had issues with alcohol. I've been all over the place with usage. In college I was a daily drinker, going from doing shots each day to partying every night. As years passed I became more of a weekend binge drinker and since then that's pretty much been the pattern. Going one to two weeks without drinking then in a few days spend massive amounts of money and screw my health up.
Lately the pattern has been day drinking for one day a week. I've noticed that my drinking has started to have more of an impact on my professional work, relationships and health.
I enjoyed the 80 days of sobriety and I'm ready to make it permanent. These old patterns I've started to get back into this last month are things I just can't justify or put up with anymore.

Congrats on your new-found commitment, Hollywood.
You'll find lots of support on SR. I'm on day 24 today and I have a number of SR members to thank for giving me the courage to go back to Day 1 after a brief stumble.
