Thank you MyShadow. Just struggling an awful lot. Looking for friends/support who know what it's like to have an addiction.

Welcome. You've come to a great place. Lots of advice, support, and a very "safe" place. Stick around and post what's on you mind, ask questions, etc.

to SR
Here is the link to the Stories of Recovery section from members who have achieved sobriety. Focus on the feelings and try to identify and not compare but there are so many wonderful stories posted, I m sure at least one will click and you will say: "That's me! There is hope I can do it too"

Oh my gosh. Thanks y'all. Feels nice to have some place to vent, make friends, and not feel so judged.

I just wanted to add that many more people on SR have achieved long term sobriety but some of us have yet to post ours.

How do New Girl.

It's a bitch right? I agree.

Welcome here, and I understand the pain of it, trying it, doing it.
We're losing our minds all the time to maintain it.

Fight on, fight on.

Hiya Girllostinadaze, This is also my first post, although was on here a year or so ago checking it out. I am also not sober yet but wish I was and pray for the strength to commit. Something I hear recently is that people succeed more often if they have a solid support network. I don't really have anyone to share this with here so I would love to be your friend and maybe we could help each other. I am planning to go sober tomorrow (but then I always am!) Take care love XX

Hellooooooooo. I knew of a guy who drank non alcoholic beer at a party all night and got drunk till someone told him it was non alcoholic, so I don't know why that story popped up but anyway I suppose it shows the mind is a powerful thing, and once you learn to work it right you can have ALL its power muwhahahahaaaaaa *evil laugh* lol

Hi Daze,

I'm a binge drinking alcoholic, my choice of drink is an ice cold beer. However my #1 love is and will always be single barrel whiskey. Unfortunately, I cannot keep myself from drinking only 1 drink a day. Once I have a single drink, I often drink until I pass out.

It's not healthy, and I am 24 hours sober. I am going to try and kick the habit for good. My hands are still shaking..

What is your story daze?
