I am happy to say that I am still Sober. I have made it one week, and what a week it was.... but I made it! I've wanted to have a drink so many times this week, but breathed through it and told myself I didn't need it. " Alcohol is not the answer, it just makes you forget the question." It reminds of dieting in a way. You stick it out, you get results. And you feel some sort of pride and achievement. I never really cared about my appearance on my long binges. Today I went and got my hair done. IT's amazing how much more you respect yourself when you start this journey. That is why I've started a weight loss program as well. I like to have control, if I can not control my alcohol consumption, why not try my food consumption.
Friday is over and I'm still here!
