21 days! Wooooot!
Hey, guys!
Just checking in to share my 21 day marker.
I am so happy to be sober today. My mom has recently told me how grateful she is to have her daughter back.
I've noticed that I can write for my local paper with much greater ease; my house is the cleanest it has been since I've moved here three years ago; I'm pretty sure my cat has quadrupled his affection toward me. The list of amazing things that are happening in my life could go on!
My local AA chapter has been absolutely crucial to my sobriety. I look forward to walking over to the meeting hall, grabbing some hot coffee, chatting with the regulars, and meeting new faces.
When I first stopped drinking, I was terrified. I had no idea what my existence would look like after giving up alcohol. I really had to trust that there was a better life in store for me.
Three weeks later, I feel like I've only just begun to scratch the surface of that life. :-)
Thank you, SR, for giving me the courage to jump back on the sobriety train after a stumble. I appreciate this community and all it does for those of us in need.
As always, I love you guys!

Thanks for your advice, LBrain! I've found a helpful article on "Pink Cloud Syndrome" Google 'Surviving the Pink Cloud in Recovery'
I'm really trying to set a solid foundation of realistic expectations for the long haul which plays a huge role in my doing what I can to maintain a strong spiritual life.
