Post Can YOU relate?

ANGER, for all of the times you missed.
Birthdays, proms, graduation, weddings,
even your grandson's birth.
HURT, for the knowledge that the person
I love is gone, to know I'll never talk to
you again, or hold you in my arms.
CONFUSION, about why this has happened,
Not knowing the answers or the reasons
for why this has happened.
All of this mixing, a tornado of emotions.
Ripping through my heart, my soul and my head, but not clearing the debris.
Leaving behind the wreckage caused by this
disease, just the ANGER, the HURT, and the
CONFUSION left to help me grieve.

Thanks for the encouragement everybody.
I guess when I started to retreat into...well, wherever I started to go, I stopped writing, too.
Thought I would throw this out there to see if it stirred any emotions other than my own.
Here's to another day...

Yes, I can relate, your words describe so closely my feelings. Even after 32 years, I still feel the loss and the heartache. I lost my mother to sucide - she suffered from depression. I miss her still.....

I totally agree! I lost my 14 year old son, 2 1/2 years ago, but it also applies to my husband, who has missed out on so much too!

I lost my father due to alcoholism. His body just shut down after 40 plus years of heavy drinking.
Just this past November, my brother (37) went on a "binge" and shot and killed himself in the park we played in as kids.
Then, as if this weren't enough, my hubby got laid off and started drinking heavier than ever, and I found out that last weekend, my brother's widow went on a "binge" of her own. Luckily, she called her sister to take her to the hospital before it was too late.

I know how high the cost of this dance is. I've paid it repeatedly!

Sending you hugs. Sometimes, the price we pay is way too high......
