Everyone here started at day one, right? This calls for congratulations and certainly I do wish you luck. If you haven't already, be sure to put some thought into your plan.

Hey Needchange,

You have made this commitment and you have made it known to us, who have been down the road you are taking these first steps on and who care that you are successful.

Some people talk about one day at a time. Some people talk about 24 hours at a time. Some speak of making it 15 more minutes, some three more. One thing for sure -- you will need to stay very, very present in this day. I think day ones are the most beautiful of all -- the most precious, like a newborn child brought into the world and loved with all of the capacity to be loved by its parent. You are the parent of this child, this day one, and it needs you to give it your all, so that it can live and grow to see day 2, and even start shaving and go to college one day. lol

Good luck! Although, you don't need luck...you just need will & determination. "Luck" is a game of chance, a stroke of good fortune. You're not going to drink any more. Period. No luck needed. You can do it!

congrats on a wise choice. I looked up the definition of luck. Don't like it.
But I found a couple quotes:

Luck is a very thin wire between survival and disaster, and not many people can keep their balance on it.
Hunter S. Thompson

Luck? I don't know anything about luck. I've never banked on it and I'm afraid of people who do. Luck to me is something else: Hard work - and realizing what is opportunity and what isn't.
Lucille Ball

And something I heard over the years: Luck is when preparation meets opportunity.

I wish you success. Success is not granted, it is earned. ME

Now get to work!
