Ugh

Well, I think I was up to about 3 weeks sober back near the end of October. Then we went on vacation and I started to slip up. I have slowly been getting worse again while trying to fool myself. Today will be day one at another attempt at an alcohol free life. I need to hermit up and focus on me for a while. I got this.

Welcome back, SoberBeast.

This can be your last Day 1. Have you thought about what you might do differently this time?

Hi.
We need to focus on not drinking for our own benefit and getting comfortable within our own skin.
Long term is more work than just not drinking, it gives us the quality of life we were looking for when drinking.

BE WELL

Hi SoberBeast and glad you're back. A vacation was involved with one of my many slips too. This time I really limited my social outings that I thought would involve alcohol too (I did the hermit thing). I have been more 'proactive' than 'reactive' this time as well.....so far so good. I look forward to seeing you around.

Welcome back SB. I tried to fight it and play the "moderation" game for many years too. If you can commit/accept/surrender that eve drinking one is never an option, it gets much easier to manage. Hope SR can be of help.

I completely agree with you Sober Beast. I also thought I had it beat and slipped up and ended back with the same old story line over and over again this last year. Like ScottfromWI said, the moderation game just doesn't work for folks like us.

You do have this!!!
